The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This sassa really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support position designed for intervention sassa activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
